At the intersection of cinema, performing arts, and ecology, the festival promotes films of established and emerging interdisciplinary artists investigating the tensions between environment, body, and ancestry in natural, urban, and virtual landscapes. The festival incentivizes films striving for less anthropocentric forms of dramaturgy and cinematography.

Like many of my other works, I reflect on a subject in a metaphorical and fictional way rather than a direct or documentary way. The work contains spoken words and text

The focus of the work is on mental aspects such as thoughts and feelings about the circumstances of strokes of fate or adversity and what these mean or can do to people. No scenes of accidents, disasters, terror and war. Neither doves of peace nor moral slogans will appear in the work. It is simply a quiet reflection on all kinds of strokes of fate and the effects that issues such as accidents, catastrophes, terror and war bring with them.

A visual metaphor for an indefinable latent threat. Present in an environment with no open exit. The search for a path that allows us to leave the threatening and hostile environment. Even the open sky is no relief as it too became part of a repellent environment.

"Far Away or 9051"

The Land Art installation reflects the theme “VERTEPAIN” (want to leave, desiring something in the distance) of the Land Art Festival. 

The desire for  far away horizons has always a base. You are in a place far away and yet everything is somehow connected to the place you left. But even when we leave, we always take things, feelings or memories with us from the place or a situation we left. But the desire to leave and change may not mean setting off for distant horizons, but can also mean wanting to leave ties, connections and boundaries behind. The work also refers to the disruptions that come with the changes. However, the works also reflect some autobiographical elements. I never feel at home anywhere, when I arrive in a place or a new situation after a while, I want to leave again.

Both videos are part of „Ashes of Eden“ project created by dancer Jana Schmück and visual artist Johannes C. Gerard . By using dance and movement elements it becomes a metaphorical reflection about the Oberlausitz Region a so called outback region in the East of Germany. About the dramatically changes the region underwent since the Unification focusing on human feelings and experiences about changes, dreams, , staying, leaving and connectedness . A shared cultural experience shaped by the social and political conditions and the environment.

7 Seeds Yokohama is the first stage of a series of projects on critical sustainability around the globe. Artists from different countries converse with each other and young generations through artworks and designs. In the works, the project seeks critical reflections on how we can plant the future. The selected works will be presented at an exhibition at Zou-no-hana Terrace in Yokohama, Japan. 7 Seeds is curated by the Hamburg-based artist Michael Kress and Zou-no-hana Terrace and Port Journeys, a worldwide network of art spaces in harbor cities.

“ESTAR SIENDO" - International Video Performance Exhibition is a project curated by the visual artist Mercedes Aqui and the renowned multidisciplinary artist, Pancho López, and aims to promote contemporary artistic practices, which are intertwined, in this case, through video performance. It brings together the work of 12 creators from different countries that, on the occasion of International Museum Day, will be presented at the Real de Catorce Cultural Center.
