16 artists from five countries will present themselves from September 12, 2021 with the exhibition "WerkZeuge (n)" at the “Gallery Art Factory Flox” The exhibition is organized by the art initiative Kunstinitiative "Im Friese" in Kirschau. The exhibition project deals with the aesthetics and the effect of tools, a topic that is familiar to everyone. The artistic exploration is implemented in various individual installations, photographic work, objects and paintings in the exhibition. The different appearances of tools become art objects through a functional shift. The aesthetic context is thus placed in the foreground.

My contribution to the exhibition is made up by a selection of photographic works and one installation related to the exhibition subject. The photographic work shows motives associated about tools and the process of creation from Ghana, India, China, Portugal and The Netherlands. The installation is "side-specific" as it is assembled from leftovers and tools from my lino cut project I was doing there
