Yesterday I finish the 4^th and last part of my residence projects. Very different to my performance video, video dance and photographic collaboration projects I made during my stay. The 4^th part was a printmaking project. I created a series of abstract lino cuts with the working title Red Zen. 

I did the hand printing at Grafikwerkstatt Dresden (Graphic Workshop Dresden), Dresden, Germany. The workshop was founded in 1958 and is run by graphic artists and printers.

Gallery ART FACTORY FLOX

16 artists from five countries will present themselves from September 12, 2021 with the exhibition "WerkZeuge (n)" at the “Gallery Art Factory Flox” The exhibition is organized by the art initiative Kunstinitiative "Im Friese" in Kirschau. The exhibition project deals with the aesthetics and the effect of tools, a topic that is familiar to everyone. The artistic exploration is implemented in various individual installations, photographic work, objects and paintings in the exhibition. The different appearances of tools become art objects through a functional shift. The aesthetic context is thus placed in the foreground.

My contribution to the exhibition is made up by a selection of photographic works and one installation related to the exhibition subject. The photographic work shows motives associated about tools and the process of creation from Ghana, India, China, Portugal and The Netherlands. The installation is "side-specific" as it is assembled from leftovers and tools from my lino cut project I was doing there

My photographic Work with the title “I can not see” was one of the 26 nominated works for the prize, selected from the works of 849 artists for the art prize of the Kunstverein Wesseling.(Art Association Wesseling) The prize is awarded every three years in three categories (photography, painting, sculpture) with a particular chosen theme. This years theme was “Zeit aus den Fugen” (literally : Time out of its joints)

My Experimental art video V like Venus with Maria Sizova is screened at the MACA on 4^th of September and at Centro Cultural Las Cigarreas daily in a loop

This work is a mix of alienation, metaphoric illusion, mythic identity and classical myths. Therefore the work is containing more then just one interpretation. In the video appear two performers (female and male) , but performing on two different levels and dimensions. But nevertheless there are related to each other.
